Our bowl's own suction is designed for clean and dry sealed surfaces. These surfaces include your non-porous plastic high chair tray, or a glass table top, a smooth stone bench top, SOME sealed wooden surfaces and silicone placemats.
The bowl needs to be pressed down on to the surface to ensure air pockets are removed from underneath so the suction engages. If required also try wiping the bottom of the suction plate with a damp cloth and try to press down again.
